Reflections of a Poet
John D "Johnny" Call is a published poet. He is also my cousin of whom I am also privileged to call my friend. He was a source of comfort during a very difficult time early in my life and continues to this day as a constant source of inspiration and solace.
Johnny honnored me and a number of my photographs with his poems. I am pleased to present some of them on my website:

He also wrote two more:
- "The Photographer". While inspired by and written for me, this poem describes what all photographers see and feel at the instant the shutter is released.
- "I Hang My Cousin on the Wall" is more personal and is a response to a couple of my photographs that I sent to him.
Together, we collaborated on a book: "Poetry in Black and White - The Poetry of John D. Call Inspired by the Photography of David L. Douglas"
