Rio Grande Gorge
The Rio Grande splits New Mexico in half from the Colorado border to its southern border with Texas and Mexico. The gorge cuts a deep chasm in northern New Mexico. Aside from its natural beauty, its rapidly flowing water supports white water rafting, any number of kayaks, and thousands of fishermen. Hiking trails descend to the river from many places along the rim.
