Fences
NM State Highway 55 zig-zags its way west and north, and west and north, and west and north off US 54 about 19 miles north of Carrizozo. Passing the Quarai Mission Ruins, the Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument, and through Mountainair, it terminates in Estancia about 97 miles away. The land is ideal ranching country.
There is one spot along the road where there is an abandoned livestock corral complete with loading ramp. Barbed wire fences define the corral.
