Days Gone By
The Sacramento Mountains, just south of Carrizozo, form the backdrop for this old ranching homestead. The windmill still turns, providing water for livestock no longer there. The remains of a house sit nearby. What was once good grazing land for cattle has been reclaimed by a changing climate over time.
